Comment by Diane Hopkins October 30, 2009 @ 3:40 amWhere is the best place to get grapeseed oil? Also, what is the purpose of a salad spinner? I’m excited to try this salad.
Comment by Kelly November 21, 2009 @ 12:00 amAny health food store has grapeseed oil. In Utah county, Good Earth or Sunflower Market. I also get the oil in a glass container. It is said that plastic can leak toxins into the oil. I like the salad spinner so my lettuce is really clean and dry. I don’t like my lettuce dripping water. Also if you store your rinsed lettuce in the spinner, it stays crisp longer. You can prepare your lettuce and keep it in the spinner for almost a whole week without it getting discolored.
Comment by breedlove November 23, 2009 @ 5:32 amGood idea about the lettuce. Thank you for posting your weekly meal log, it really gives me inspiration on what to feed myself and my kids. For the last 2 weeks I have rarley had any meat. My stomach is just not handeling it right now. I would like to see you keep this blog up, you are probably inspiring more people then you know. I like when you give more detail, like sharing the actual brands you use or even the details to a recipe. Thanks!
